According to a new report issued by the Massachusetts AFL-CIO and the Massachusetts Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health (MassCOSH), workplace fatalities in Massachusetts reached a five-year high in 2015.
The report reveals that 63 workers lost their lives in the state in 2015, including Nicholas Dumont, a 24-year-old Veteran who was killed in a crane accident in Taunton, MA, last September. Douglas Sheff, Senior Partner at Sheff Law, recently addressed Mr. Dumont’s wrongful death and the overall increase in fatal workplace accidents across the state on WCVB Channel 5.
Sheff joined WCVB to speak about the death of Dumont, a 24-year-old construction worker who died on September 4, 2015, when a crane crashed into a steal beam to which he was attached, causing him to fall 40 feet. Sheff Law is representing the family of Mr. Dumont who, as Sheff explained in the interview, died through no fault of his own.
