On Thursday January 30, 2014, the Massachusetts Bar Association held its first Workers’ Compensation Section Meeting.

With over 55 members in attendance, the meeting focused on various topics including but limited to: current happenings at the Department of Industrial Accidents, the impact of Curry and Eisner decisions in the negotiation of third party liens, and an update and review of 2013 issues. MBA President Douglas K. Sheff provided introductory remarks and welcomed everyone to the section’s first gathering. The meeting also featured Senior Administrative Judge Omar Hernandez from the Department of Industrial Accidents.
